Electric circuit model of microwave optomechanics

چکیده
We report on the generic classical electric circuit modeling that describes standard single-tone microwave optomechanics. Based a parallel RLC in which mechanical oscillator acts as movable capacitor, derivations of analytical expressions are presented, including key features such back-action force, input-output expressions, and spectral densities associated, all regime. These coincide with quantum treatment performed optomechanics when occupation number both cavity large. Besides, derived analytics transposes optical elements properties into electronics terms, is mandatory for quantitative measurement design purposes. Finally, direct comparison between model addresses bounds regimes, highlighting truly quantum, those not.

Graphene optomechanics realized at microwave frequencies.
Cavity optomechanics has served as a platform for studying the interaction between light and micromechanical motion via radiation pressure. Here we observe such phenomena with a graphene mechanical resonator coupled to an electromagnetic mode. We measure thermal motion and backaction cooling in a bilayer graphene resonator coupled to a microwave on-chip cavity. We detect the lowest flexural mod...
متن کاملMultimode circuit optomechanics near the quantum limit
The coupling of distinct systems underlies nearly all physical phenomena. A basic instance is that of interacting harmonic oscillators, giving rise to, for example, the phonon eigenmodes in a lattice. Of particular importance are the interactions in hybrid quantum systems, which can combine the benefits of each part in quantum technologies. Here we investigate a hybrid optomechanical system hav...
متن کاملMicromanipulation transfer of membrane resonators for circuit optomechanics
A capacitive coupling between mechanical resonator and a microwave cavity enables readout and manipulation of the vibrations. We present a set-up to carry out such experiments with aluminum membranes fabricated as stamps and transferred in place with micromanipulation. The membrane is held in place by van der Waals forces, and is supported by three microscopic points. We measure the lowest mech...

Because microwave products in the consumer electronics market are continuous developing, device and component manufacturers have to seek new advanced integration, packaging and interconnection technologies, as size, cost and performance are critical factors for the success of a microwave product. One of the most promising integration technologies is the multilayer low temperature co-fired ceram...
متن کاملThe mammalian auditory hair cell: a simple electric circuit model.
A model based on the potassium current pathway through the hair cell is used to analyze the electrical behavior of mammalian inner and outer hair cells. Without taking into account the effects of calcium it is possible to simulate experimental results concerning the shape and strength of the receptor potential and the frequency dependent ac (alternating current) and dc (direct current) componen...
